Adamsdown
Adamsdown (Welsh: 'Waunadda') is an inner city area in the south of Cardiff, the capital city of Wales. The area was supposedly named after an Adam Kygnot, a porter at Cardiff Castle around 1330 AD. Many of the streets in Adamsdown are named after metals (e.g. Gold St, Silver St.) precious stones (Sapphire St, Emerald St.) and astronomical terms (Comet St, Meteor St.).
